Why 55+ independent living?
The Fields at Arbor Glen was created for those 55 years of age or older who want to maintain an active lifestyle, hobbies and enjoy socializing with adults on a similar journey as them —all without the maintenance and stress of owning a home. Living at The Fields allows you to have more time with friends, family, worry-free traveling, while leaving the upkeep to us.
What happens if I need care in the future?
We understand that at some point, you may need more care than what is provided at The Fields. We are part of Ebenezer, Minnesota’s largest senior living provider with over 100 years of serving older adults. Benefits of being affiliated with Ebenezer, is our connection to resources available within Fairview Home Care. As well as, having priority to any of our Ebenezer-managed senior living communities that offer services if you wish to move out for continued care. We actually have an Ebenezer-managed community right next door whom we are able to partner with and residents can use their common area amenity spaces, Arbor Glen Senior Living.
Are meals provided?
Each apartment at The Fields has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances for cooking. Meals are not provided at The Fields. However, the community is conveniently located near Hagberg’s Country Market and several Lake Elmo restaurants including some of the following: The Lake Elmo Inn, Gorman’s Family Restaurant and Twin Point Tavern. Residents of The Fields at Arbor Glen can purchase meals at Arbor Glen Senior Living next door.
How do I make a maintenance request?
The Fields at Arbor Glen has a full-time Maintenance team that assists with any requests needed by the residents as well as maintaining property upkeep. The Fields at Arbor Glen is managed and operated by Ebenezer.
What is included in the rent?
A beautiful apartment home or townhome, fob controlled building entrance, full kitchen with all appliances including a stainless steel refrigerator, washer and dryer, water, garbage, recycling, individual climate controls in homes, maintenance of apartment home, appliances, grounds and common spaces, enriching activities, holistic wellness, fitness programs and a life with new friends to keep you active in your golden years. Garages are included with townhome resident's rent.

Are there restrictions on visiting hours?
There are no restrictions for visitors. You must follow the lease for overnight guests.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, we are pet friendly. Pet deposit is required, and restrictions do apply. Please inquire with Property Manager about specifics.
What if I need help moving in?
We understand that moving can be overwhelming. Please know that The Fields at Arbor Glen staff can be a resource for you. We can assist you with locating local moving companies and services to make it as easy and stress-free as possible!
Do we have to sign a long-term lease for the apartment or townhome?
There is no long-term leases at The Fields, it’s just a full calendar month notice that is needed in order to move.
Is there a down payment or deposit fee?
Yes, upon move-in, you will pay a $2,000 refundable deposit fee. The $2000 deposit will be refunded to you should you need to leave, and your apartment is left in good condition.
Is parking available?
Yes, there is indoor grade level parking at our community. The cost to reserve your own personal parking spot is between $70 per month. There is limited surface level parking in front of the building.
What amenities are in the community?
The Fields at Arbor Glen has several different communal gathering spaces for you to enjoy. These include: Outdoor Gas Grill, High-Speed Wi-Fi Internet, Secured Entrance, Maintenance-Free Living, Heated Grade Level Parking, Gardens, Game Courts for Pickle Ball, and Bocce Ball, Walking Paths, Bonfire Pit and Gathering Area, Fitness Center, Community Room and access to Arbor Glen Common Gathering Areas, Spa/Salon, and Theater Room.
Each apartment and townhome has either a personal balcony or walk-out patio and include an in-unit washer and dryer as well as contemporary/high-end finishes.
Where are you located?
The Fields at Arbor Glen is located at 11070 39th Street North, Lake Elmo, nestled in peaceful residential living, surrounded by walking paths and conveniently located near downtown Lake Elmo with grocery, pharmacy, restaurants all within walking distance.
How many apartments are in the building? Size options, floor plans, etc.?
The Fields at Arbor Glen has 42 apartment homes that range from one-bedrooms to two-bedroom + dens. We also have 18 patio townhomes that range from two-bedroom to three-bedroom. There are a variety of unique floor plans depending on your wants and needs. For more information on our currently availability, please call 651-425-0248.
Is the apartment building secure?
The building is secured 24/7 with access via Fobs for residents. For visitors, there is a call box at the main entrance.
What is “active" 55+ or “active" living and what if I’m not able bodied?
The word “active" refers to your lifestyle. If you are not able bodied, you can still be active. You may be active in gardening, a book club, or just enjoying company with new friends. You can choose how active you want to be in our community with everything that’s going on. The mindset of many of the folks moving into The Fields at Arbor Glen is that they don’t want have to deal with the home maintenance anymore or taking care of the yard. They want more time with friends, family or traveling without worrying.
Is there nursing staff available to me?
We do not have nursing staff at our community, however, you are certainly welcome to bring in home health care services from your preferred provider or we can help provide options. We also are part of Ebenezer, which has an abundance of care options within our communities throughout Minnesota and Iowa, including next door at Arbor Glen Senior Living which has Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Is there an activity person on staff?
We do not have an activity director, although we will provide community events and celebrations occasionally which we encourage residents to attend. We will also have a resident led social calendar.
Is there transportation available to stores and such?
We do not currently have transportation services to stores. If we find this need in the future, we will look at what accommodations will be available to us. There are great programs that provide home deliveries in case you aren’t able to get out. Our staff would be happy to provide these resources to you
Keeping You Safe
Since this time of COVID, one of the big questions we've been getting was "how is the air circulated throughout the Independent Living apartment building?"
We want to let people know that each unit has its own HVAC unit and fresh air intake from the outside, so the air is not circulating between all the apartments in the building. This is especially important during this time of infection safety and protections.
